I stumbled upon this brewery by accident while desperately searching for coffee. Turns out, Mountain Dweller Coffee shares the space and opens at 7 AM. Conveniently located just off I-70, it’s now my go-to caffeine stop. This area is packed with incredible hikes! A few years back, our family tackled Mount Royal—a solid uphill climb. The steep gravel trail gave our kids a run for their money, but the views at the top made it all worthwhile. Last summer, I took on Peak 1, Mount Victoria, and Mount Royal.
If you're hiking in the summer, start early to beat the heat—this trail is pretty exposed. The 7.1-mile trek to Peak 1 alone, with its 2,240 feet of elevation gain, will definitely have you ready for a well-earned Colorado beer!
